The X Race

Every weekend during the summer, our town has at least one outdoor race, festival, event or show. Last week was the Rotorua bike festival and this weekend is the New Zealand Paragliding Open and the New Zealand Cuban Festival (I am a bit curious about this event... considering I have seen/met only one Latino in the whole eight months we have been here).

A few weeks ago the whole family (minus Jonah) participated in X Race. I ran the "nipper" race with Jude and Maggie. Ben ran the main event with Max. There was a bit of New Zealand and pop culture trivia involved and a lot of mountain biking... no one took home any prizes - but it was a fun day.
