12 hour race

Ben and his friend Mike teamed up to do a 12 hour mountain bike race. It was part of the Glowworm NDuro festival held at the redwood forest on January 31st.

The race started at noon on Saturday afternoon and ended at midnight. The Hartmanns are an American family that have become good friends of ours here in Rotorua. We set up a tent and had a great time "tailgating"  and cheering for the dads.

I got the kids to bed and had a sitter come to the house so that I could see the end of the race. Ben finished his sixth hour/ last leg, a little before midnight. He was exhausted... but finished strong. Good work boys!
