Last weekend, I took off by myself for two nights to see a pretty amazing outdoor sculpture exhibition on Waiheke Island.
I left Rotorua on a bus around noon Thursday afternoon, stayed the night in an Auckland hotel, and then caught a 9:00am ferry to Waiheke Island. I arrived at the head of the trail around 10:00 and took a 90 minute stroll along the rugged coastline enjoying carefully placed sculptures. I don't think there could have been a more aesthetically pleasing location for an exhibition. beautiful.
