Whip it

From 1998 until 2002 I attended Texas A&M University, home of the fighting Aggies (Whoop! Gig'em Aggs! Farmers Fight!). College Station is in the heart of the Brazos Valley situated forty five minuets from Brenham, Texas... noted as the fictional town of Bodeen, Texas and home to one of my favorite movie characters - Bliss Cavendar.

In 2009 when I saw Whip It  for the first time I was almost 30, married with two kids and living on the other side of the country in Delaware. Roller Derby aside... when it comes to Ellen Page, I am a big nerdy fan. I love the clever, quirky roles that she chooses. Whip It was a fast favorite. After I watched it three times, I decided that if I have ever had a REAL opportunity to play derby - I would take it.

Fast forward a few years & a few kids and here I am on the other side of the world... racking my brain for a derby name.
