America with George * Austin, Texas * cousins

For the next few weeks I am going to be using this space to communicate with my kids, 
please excuse the change of tone and content. George is Jude's stuffed dragon.

Hey guys! There are SO many people that we love in Austin, Texas and if we had more time, it would have been wonderful to pop around and see all of them. But since we are rushing to get back to you wild and crazy kids, we were only able to be in town for 22 hours. We didn't get to see our cousins Brook, Boone, Suzanna and Emily because they were out of town... but I did get to meet their cute dog.

We didn't get to see the Texas Rollergirls either... boo hoo hoo, maybe next time. But we did get to see some of our Boone cousins... hip hip hooray! They just got back from Laity Lodge Family Camp! Mom had fun reminiscing about our time there together a few years ago.

First things first... these guys have some really cool animals (and I know how much you like animals). They have CHICKENS... you LOVE chickens! They also have two gerbils and a dog named Pogin. Pogin is a super sweet dog - some kids think he looks a little bit scary... but I think he is cute.

One thing I really love about these kids is how clever and creative they are... they are also a little bit silly and really funny. It was fun to see all the projects and art they have been working on lately.

We had dinner, sat on the couch, talked, the kids read books and wrote funny stories, and we took "selfies" and had some silly fun before bed. It was really special to spend a normal evening at the Boone house... I wish we could do it more often.
