Christmas in Rotorua

Thursday, December 25, 2014

We had a lovely low key Christmas in Rotorua. An early wake up call, followed by presents (including this cool handmade home from Max and Maggie) a nice breakfast and several hours of play. Ben left for work around 1:30 and we all settled in for an afternoon nap/rest. Jude slept until almost 5:00. We had a heavy snack and went to the redwoods for a mountain bike ride.

It was Jonah's first time on a "real" trail. The Tahi is a 2.5 km beginner trail. He owned it with his little Mocka Mini... rolling over the handle bars twice and barely stopping to catch his breath.

After our ride, we got a very traditional (and delicious) package of Oppies famous fish and chips and delivered one to dad at the hospital. Baths, prayers and bed followed. Feeling thankful for my family and the humble birth of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
